Our organization is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable, and experienced Permanent Mining Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting mining research, implementing mining strategies, and utilizing their skill set to maximize the profitability of mining operations. This role requires a unique blend of skills, including an understanding of mining engineering, financial analysis, and project management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in the mining industry and a passion for financial analysis. This is a full-time permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive mining research to identify potential investment opportunities and risks.
- Develop and implement mining strategies to optimize the profitability of mining operations.
- Work closely with the finance team to analyze the financial implications of mining operations.
- Provide expert advice on mining technologies, processes, and equipment.
- Develop and maintain a strong understanding of global mining trends and market dynamics.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of mining projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the viability of new mining projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on mining operations and project outcomes to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the mining industry.
- Strong knowledge of mining technologies, processes, and equipment.
- Proven experience in conducting mining research and implementing mining strategies.
- Excellent financial analysis skills, with a strong understanding of financial principles and concepts.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
- Proficiency in using various software applications for mining design and planning.
- Strong commitment to safety and environmental standards.
- Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Professional Engineering (PE) license is a plus.
