POSITION PURPOSE
This dynamic role involves collaboration across allof the mine, drivingthe development and execution ofimpactful culture programs andimprovement initiatives as wellas developing analysis tools to drive cost control across the company and coordinating budgets and planning cycle.
You will act as a catalyst for meaningful change, respectfully challenging the status quo and introducing innovative approaches tohow we operate, drivingthecompany vision through settingthe bar onvalues, behaviorsandmindsetstoensure the successof all improvement initiatives across site.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Leadership
- Implement framework for transformation initiatives that align processes to ensure consistent and effective initiative management.
- Driveanddevelopabusinessimprovementculture,mindsetandpassionacrosstheminesite.
- Drive transformation initiatives to drive good safety outcomes, increase quality standards, improve production efficiencies andunlock costsavings to hitthebottom line.
- Provide highleveloversight of allprograms andprojects inthe siteportfolio to drive alignment with strategic objectives.
- Collaboratewithseniorleadershiptoprioritizeprojectsbasedonbusinessneeds, availability-of-resources, and assessed-risk.
- Model the company valuesand mindsetstoensureachievementofour vision, influencingthesestandardsacrosssite.
- Transformation Portfolio
- Facilitate andprovide coaching to operational teams ondeploymentof improvement practices to analyze current state,identify opportunities andbuildthe foundations for futurestate.
- Work with departments to developbaselines for allinitiatives and calculatetargeted improvementsand cashflow impacts.
- Monitor the progress of allinitiatives, ensuringthey meet keymilestones, budgets,and provide the required deliverables.
- Attend monthly costreviewmeetings and identify improvementinitiatives to addto TO pipelineforeachdepartment.Work with departments todevelop action plans to realize benefits from initiatives.
- Reviewproject plans,charters, andrequirements to ensurestrictadherence to governance standards.
- Ensuretheavailabilityof thenecessary toolsandresourcesprojectmanagersrequireto deliver successful projects.
- Workwithdepartmentsto conductpostprojectImplementationmonitoringto analyzelongterm project benefits.
- Stakeholder Engagement
- liaise between departmental teams and senior leadership to provide regular updates on project status, risk, support requirements, and outcomes.
- Engage key stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of project objectives.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across departments to align projects and supporting initiatives.
- Planning and Analysis
- Work withCommercial Manager andFinanceSuperintendentto improvebudget and planning tools, and develop planning framework for the company.
- Driveimproved business performance viaanalysis of historical data anddevelopment offorecastingtoolsthatresult invisibility of pendingbusiness issuesanddevelopment of optimal action plans toaddress.
- Build cost driver analysis for month endreportingandembed intoFinance team month endanalysis
- Coordinate planning and budgeting cycles setting out timelines, detailed work requirements andpreparinganalysis toensurecost efficient andoptimized budgets and plans are developed.
- Work with Finance team to aidindevelopmentof bottom upcost budgets for each department, developinganalysis toolsto respectfully challenge costsandaidindriving down cost base at the mine.
- Ensureplanningoutcomesenhancethevalueofthebusiness
- Champion cross functional site involvement inthe budgeting process to ensure presentation of acomplete business case,inclusion ofpotential uplift opportunities and identification of risks.
- Actively challenge thevalidityofkeybudgetdrivers to ensurethepursuit ofbusiness excellence, usingdata andanalysis tosupport thechallenge.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
Required: Bachelors degree in commerce or accounting or related field.
CA/CPA qualifications, preferred
Experience of five years in business analysis role.
