Schedule : Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm

Essential Functions: - Research and develop the use of new or improved raw materials.
- Oversee and manage the implementation of new or improved raw materials.
- Research and identify new or alternative suppliers of raw materials.
- Develop acceptance criteria and testing methods for incoming raw materials.
- Define standards and process for the mixing of raw materials.
- Establish safety protocols for the use of dangerous materials.
- Evaluate materials to ensure compliance with applicable environmental and safety standards.
- Collaborate with Process Engineering on the use of raw materials in new or improved processes.
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering on material declarations and safety data sheets.
- Collaborate with Applications Engineering and customers on new product introductions.
- Develop and execute process validations using IQ, OQ, & PQ methods.
- Analyze and determine root cause of problems and develop solutions addressing root causes.
- Apply logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

- Compose, execute, and close a validation protocol and ensure it is accurately logged.
- Initiate and complete an Internal Change Request.
- Effectively utilize and support ERP system (GSS), including pulling of data for analysis.
Requirements: - Bachelor s degree in an Engineering discipline or related technical field is required.
- Minimum of two years experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
- Materials science experience is required. Polymer chemistry experience is desired.
- Experience working in an ISO certified environment is required; ISO 13485 or 10993 is preferred.
- Medical device component and/or finished product manufacturing experience is desired.
- Catheter-based medical device design and manufacturing experience is desired.
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
- Must be able to display fine manipulation by constantly using both hands and fingers to inspect, grasp, move, or assemble very small objects.
- Must be able to operate a computer 50% of the time or more.
- Must be able to frequently move about inside the manufacturing environment and access machinery.
- Possess project management skills and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Understand and interpret specifications on customer drawings.
- Basic understanding of the following ISO Standards (13485 and 10993).
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with others and communicate effectively.
