NSC has an urgent need for structural fluxcore steel welders for shipbuilding production welding in Sturgeon Bay, WI

Job description

• Use a wide range of welding filler metals and welding processes to perform structural welds in all phases of ship construction.
• Use various welding processes including 2G and 3G FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) test required
• Weld all positions using both manual and mechanized processes and welds are required to satisfy all nondestructive test requirements (visual inspection, magnetic particle inspection, ultrasonic inspection, radiographic inspection).
• Perform these functions in environments of extreme heights, confined spaces, and various weather conditions within the shipyard environment.
• Perform troubleshooting of minor welding equipment problems
• Flux Cored welding test in 2G, 3G, 4G required and pay rate will be required based on test results.
