Responsibilities: Play a key role in developing our Information Reporting and Withholding (IRW) practice. Direct engagements that involve a multi-disciplinary team to provide on-site guidance to withholding agents regarding compliance with information reporting requirements and assisting clients to determine the impact of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) on their domestic and offshore operations. Work with clients to evaluate their compliance with current withholding agent responsibilities in preparation for IRS audits and provide support to clients in relation to the technical and practical application of IRS regulations. Build, manage, direct and monitor multiple client engagement teams while maintaining active communication with clients in an effort to manage expectations and help ensure client satisfaction. Lead, participate in and contribute to market and business development activities external to the firm, including identifying and pursuing new potential client service opportunities by collaborating with KPMG's Audit and Advisory practices. Contribute to the growth, experience and institutional knowledge of the Information Reporting and Withholding tax practice staff level team members. Qualifications: Minimum ten years of recent related experience in a public accounting firm or corporate taxation role, including working in a withholding agent environment focused on information reporting and withholding and FATCA responsibilities. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university and licensed CPA, JD/LLM, MTX (Masters of Tax), MBA (Masters of Business Administration), PMP (Project Management Professional certification), CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional certification) or Enrolled Agent. Demonstrated track record of business development with the ability to develop and maintain existing internal and external client relationships and help build new relationships with key targets. Demonstrated experience leading multiple engagements and client service teams as well as developing and mentoring staff within a collaborative team environment.
