• Decontaminate, clean, and disinfect surgical instruments and equipment following established protocols.
\t
• Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, sterilizers, and ultrasonic cleaners.
\t
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments and trays for use in procedures.
\t
• Maintain detailed records of sterilization processes to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
\t
• Conduct routine maintenance and quality checks on sterilization equipment to ensure proper functionality.
\t
• Monitor inventory levels of sterile supplies and reorder as necessary to avoid shortages.
\t
• Adhere to infection control policies and procedures to ensure a sterile environment.
\t
• Collaborate with surgical teams and healthcare staff to ensure timely delivery of sterilized instruments.
\t
• Identify and report damaged or malfunctioning instruments and equipment for repair or replacement.
\t
• Stay current with industry standards and certifications related to sterile processing.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (e.g., CRCST or CBSPD) preferred.
\t
• Knowledge of infection control practices, sterilization techniques, and healthcare safety standards.
\t
• Familiarity with medical instruments, surgical equipment, and sterilization technology.
\t
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
\t
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
\t
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy equipment or trays.
