Job Description

Are you seeking an opportunity to make a meaningful social impact? Are you passionate about social justice? Wolford Wayne, a leading San Francisco tenants' rights firm, has an immediate opening for a full-time Legal Assistant with at least one year of experience working in a litigation firm. 

 

We’re looking for a dynamic, curious individual with a penchant for multitasking to join our close-knit team of dedicated professionals. This job requires the ability to juggle various tasks and responsibilities, and excellent attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities include:  

  • Gather vital information and documents from clients 
  • Engage with clients in a professional and empathetic manner 
  • Coordinate with vendors 
  • Assist in preparation of written discovery materials and court filings
  • Review and organize case related documents including medical records
  • Process court filings 
  • Prepare and dispatch record requests 
  • Manage and organize physical and digital filing systems
  • Light front office administration
  • Other administrative duties as assigned

 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree 
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Mac based computer software 
  • Meticulous attention to detail 
  • Exceptional communication skills 
  • Proven ability to utilize templates and resources effectively 
  • Strong time management skills with a keen eye for deadlines 
  • Minimum one year working in civil litigation 

 

Bonus Points for:  

  • Fluency in Spanish, Mandarin, or Cantonese 
  • Prior experience in landlord/tenant law or plaintiff’s side work
