Lead DevOps Engineer (Hybrid)

Cognizant is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer with a strong commitment and dedication to join our Engineering team in Wilmington ,DE USA. Location: Wilmington, DE

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of DevOps tools and practices to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Manage and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like TeamCity GOCD Jenkins GitLab and Stash.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the development and operations teams.
  • Monitor system performance and implement necessary improvements to enhance service reliability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for service management processes and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in service management.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of service delivery processes to identify areas for improvement.
  • Lead incident management and root cause analysis to resolve service disruptions promptly.
  • Implement and manage automated testing frameworks to ensure high-quality releases.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to define and prioritize service management goals and objectives.
  • Provide training and mentorship to team members on DevOps tools and practices.

Qualifications:

  • 8 to 12 years experience
  • Possess strong experience in DevOps concepts and tools such as TeamCity GOCD Jenkins GitLab and Stash.
  • Demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Exhibit strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Show proficiency in managing CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks.
  • Have a solid understanding of industry standards and best practices in service management.
  • Display the ability to lead incident management and root cause analysis efforts.
  • Be proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
  • Have experience in developing and maintaining service management documentation.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide technical guidance and support to development and operations teams.
  • Show a commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
  • Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exhibit the ability to provide training and mentorship to team members.
  • Have a proactive approach to ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 – $141,500 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
