Lead Devops Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable and secure DevOps solutions using GitHub and Azure DevOps.
• Be responsible for the integration of DevSecOps practices to ensure security is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to development teams on standard processes for using DevOps tools and concepts.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines and improve deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code scripts to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
• Ensure the reliability and performance of applications by implementing monitoring and logging solutions.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of DevOps practices.
• Work closely with customers to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead and optimize the use of cloud resources to ensure cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Provide support and solving for complex technical issues related to DevOps and cloud infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure the company remains driven.
• Supply to the development of user documentation and training materials for internal teams.

Qualifications:

• Possess a deep understanding of GitHub DevOps tools and DevOps concepts.
• Demonstrate expertise in DevSecOps practices and their implementation.
• Have extensive experience with Azure DevOps and cloud infrastructure management.
• Show proficiency in scripting languages for automation such as Python or PowerShell.
• Exhibit strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solve complex technical issues.
• Display excellent communication and teamwork skills to work optimally with multi-functional teams.
• Be capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Show a commitment to continuous learning and staying ahead of with industry advancements.
• Demonstrate the ability to develop and maintain user documentation.
• Have experience in conducting security assessments and audits.
• Exhibit a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues.
• Possess a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their optimization.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 – $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
