Job Description

Position Summary:

MD Nursery & Landscaping is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inventory Manager to oversee and manage all inventory-related operations for our landscape company. This role is critical in ensuring that materials, tools, and equipment are available when needed, properly stored, and accurately tracked to support efficient project execution and cost control.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate inventory records of landscaping materials (e.g., trees, mulch, soil, plants, pavers), tools, and equipment.
• Monitor stock levels and forecast demand based on seasonal trends and project schedules.
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials.
• Implement and manage inventory control systems, including barcoding and digital tracking.
• Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure safety, accessibility, and cleanliness.
• Collaborate with project managers and field crews to anticipate material needs.
• Track usage and loss of tools and equipment; manage repair or replacement as needed.
• Develop and enforce inventory policies and procedures.
• Generate inventory reports and provide insights to improve purchasing and usage efficiency.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Proven experience in inventory management, preferably in landscaping, construction, or a related industry.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills.
• Proficiency with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to lift and move materials and equipment as needed.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of landscaping materials and equipment.
• Experience with ERP or inventory tracking systems.
• Forklift certification or experience operating light machinery.
