PSI Pax, Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Financial Analyst to join our team in support of our government customer, the NAVAIR Comptroller, in Patuxent River, MD.

Duties & Responsibilities: Provides direct support to NAVAIR Accounting Department to:

• Under general supervision, the Junior Financial Analyst conducts operations in support of the NAVAIR Comptroller Accounting Department.
• Provides support to business process and accounting solutions.
• Responds to inquiries, assists in resolving accounting discrepancies, and prepares supporting documentation.
• Applies standard operating procedures and assists in obtaining necessary information to support accounting record reconciliation processes.

• Enter and update Navy ERP customer sales orders for Reimbursable Work Orders accepted by the NAVAIR Comptroller Group, to include rollover of customer sales orders during Year-End Close processing in Navy ERP.
• Process disbursement adjustments generated via the UMD Team/Business Financial Management (BFM) requests and Comptroller requests.
• Prepare documentation for submission of adjustment packages for Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS) One Bill Pay, MOCAS, Navy ERP, and to DFAS.
• Research the Daily Denial File for MOCAS and One Bill Pay records received from DFAS to resolve issues preventing systemic payment of invoices.
• Prepare contract closeout packages, which include researching and verifying expended and financially complete contracts using Navy ERP, SDW, EDA and DCAS and preparing reconciliations.

Required Qualifications:

• One (1) - three (3) years of work experience to include finance or accounting
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Secret Clearance

Desired Qualifications:

• NAWCAD/NAVAIR specific experience
• NAVY ERP experience / skill

Education Requirements:

• AS/AA degree and one (1) - three (3) years of relevant experience
• OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least four (4) additional years of related experience
