Junior Data Engineer

Job Summary:
As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the design, development, and maintenance of our data pipelines and infrastructure. You will work closely with senior engineers and data scientists to ensure the efficient flow and integrity of data across various systems. This role is ideal for someone with 0-2 years of experience in data engineering, who is eager to learn and grow in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and Maintain Data Pipelines: Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines using Airflow.
• Data Integration: Support the integration of data from various sources, including Oracle GoldenGate and Snowflake, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Data Quality and Validation: Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure the integrity of the data.
• Collaboration: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Documentation: Document data flows, processes, and systems to ensure clear communication and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor data pipelines for performance and reliability, and troubleshoot any issues that arise.

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in data engineering or a related role.
• Technical Skills:
  • Experience with Airflow for designing and managing data pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Oracle GoldenGate for real-time data integration.
  • Basic knowledge of Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Basic understanding of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
• Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and quality.

• Experience with Python or other scripting languages for data processing.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Understanding of data modeling and database design principles.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git.
