Job Description

Marathon TS is looking for a Junior Cloud Engineer to support our DOS efforts:

Job Duties

• Support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of applications, including Gitlab, Jira, Ansible, AWS Workspaces, and ServiceNow.
• Perform upgrades and patches under the direction of Senior Cloud engineers on a scheduled monthly basis.
• Monitor and follow up on Security release notifications for all support applications.
• Support DevOps practices for Project teams leveraging Gitlab and Ansible.
• Participate in technical review boards and provide technical support and consultation for the implementation and usage of native Gitlab Premium tools.
• Attend online meetings and in-person whiteboard sessions with the product vendors for enhancements and issue discussions.
• Attend meetings when required with customer executives, Cloud architects, and Cloud engineers to define deliverables and discuss issues, questions, and improvements for the supported applications.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Secret Clearance
• 3 to 4 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree
• AWS, Azure, GCP, GitLab, Ansible, Jira, ServiceNow platform knowledge and/or experience
• Experience working on Agile teams
• Knowledge and/or experience with GitLab repositories and CI/CD pipelines

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Linux and Windows Operating Systems experience
• Deployments using Terraform and Ansible Automation
• Scripting with languages such as PowerShell
