BASIC FUNCTION:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a cloud-based SaaS platform for ESD’s Division of Minority and Women’s Business Development (DMWBD). Serve as the internal IT project manager and work closely with ESD’s selected SaaS vendor, ensuring project scope, milestones, risk management, business requirements, and deliverables are aligned with ESD standards and business goals. Assist with ESD Disaster recovery efforts and provide technical assistance in any other area of IT as directed by department managers.

WORK PERFORMED:

• Manage full lifecycle of a Salesforce SaaS project including execution, monitoring, delivery, and maintenance.
• Act as the primary internal liaison between ESD stakeholders and the SaaS vendor, ensuring contract and SOW compliance, and translating business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Collaborate with the vendor project manager to align on timelines, deliverables, and resource planning; able to escalate and resolve issues as needed.
• Schedule and lead project meetings with the internal project team, 3rd party vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Utilize ESD’s project management tools to manage project scope, tasks, costs, schedules, documentation, and deliverables.
• Assist in the collection, analysis, and documentation of business and resource requirements.
• Proactively identify project risk and develop necessary mitigation plans.
• Monitor and track progress of all action items related to the project, including deadlines and task assignments.
• Prepare project reports for ESD management and other stakeholders.
• Organize, develop, and maintain project documentation including workflow diagrams, user guides, training materials, and security documentation.
• Ensure the project is managed within the guidelines set by IT policies.
• Assist with ESD Disaster Recovery efforts, testing and documentation.
• Perform other related duties and / or projects as directed by IT Management
• Position expected to work onsite and/or remote consistent with NYS and ESD guidelines and needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education Level required: BA in an IT related discipline with minimum of 3 years’ experience in related field; Or a 2-year degree with a minimum of 5 years’ experience; Or any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Project Management Professional (PMP) or other related certification preferred. Strong knowledge of Salesforce products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, etc.,) is a plus.

Relevant experience required: Extensive experience in IT Project Management. Experience with varying types of project management methodologies in including Waterfall and Agile. Strong understanding of Information Technology. Ability to problem-solve, analyze data. and develop detailed reports. Knowledge required: strong proficiency with project management systems and MS 365. Ability to work with a diverse group of people at both a functional and technical level and communicate at a level appropriate to audience; Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; Strong written and verbal communication skills.
