Job Description

Volt Capital is a New York-based venture capital firm focused on elevating crypto founders who are reimagining our systems. Since its launch in 2021 by General Partner Soona Amhaz, Volt Capital has made 60+ investments in early-stage crypto companies and protocols like Nansen, Magic Eden, LayerZero, Farcaster, and Gevulot.

Volt Capital is looking for an investor to join the firm. This individual will be working closely with the General Partner, venture partners, and the growing investment team on sourcing and analyzing investment opportunities in companies and protocols.

Responsibilities

1. Researching early-stage investment opportunities in companies and protocols.
2. Analyzing emerging technical and crypto market trends.
3. Collaborating with the investment team on due diligence of potential investments.
4. Supporting existing portfolio companies with recruiting, market analysis, and product feedback.
5. Willingness to travel as necessary.

Qualifications

1. Native understanding of crypto and blockchain technologies.
2. Ability to identify emerging themes and trends in the broader crypto market.
3. Intense intellectual curiosity about crypto and decentralized systems.
4. An analytical mindset, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills.
5. 2+ years of experience researching, operating, or investing in crypto.

Nice to Haves

1. Prior investing experience is strongly preferred.
2. A deep and strong network within crypto.
3. Focus on consumer, but not required.
