Interior Designer Category: Interior Design Location: New York Job Description Tina Ramchandani Creative is an award-winning boutique design firm specializing in modern high-end residential interiors. We are looking to hire an Interior Designer with a positive attitude and an appreciation for modern luxury to join our growing team.
Were looking for a get it done person who takes initiative, is excited to understand the principals vision and can move it forward through completion. The ideal personality for this role would be someone who is ambitious, flexible, personable, effective in communication, and has personal scope and breadth of interests.
This is a client facing, semi-remote position and Designer should be located in the NYC area. You will work from home but be asked to meet the principal and clients in person for meetings, site visits, etc.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
-Independently develop floor plans, elevations, and 3D renderings
-Be able to deal with vendors, fabricators, and consultants effectively and efficiently, maintaining strong communication throughout the process to completion
-Maintain current and accurate project presentations and drawings as projects evolve to completion
-Assist with selections of materials, furnishing, lighting, etc.
- Managing multiple projects from start to completion, alongside Principal
- Research, sourcing and specifying FF&E
- Create client presentations and maintain client design binders
- Create and review construction drawings, custom millwork drawings, custom furniture drawings, etc
- Create and manage schedules such as Finish, Plumbing, Door & Hardware, etc.
- Schedule and manage installation, site visits and site surveys
- Creating proposals, executing purchase orders and expediting
- Ability to interact with clients, manage expectations, and inspire a calm and productive approach to situations that could otherwise prove to be extremely stressful
Job Requirements - Interior design degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
-Attention to detail, strong organization skills, collaboration skills and communication skills are all musts
-Knowledge of high-end showrooms and product lines is a plus
-Experience with custom furniture design and reviewing construction/millwork drawings are both a plus
- Highly proficient in AutoCAD
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-up, time management and organizational skills
- Must be a self-starter
- Cheery demeanor, positive attitude + strong interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Sketchup and Studio Designer are a plus
- Works well in a collaborative setting but must also be able to work independently and proactively on projects without supervision
