Job Summary of Roles & Responsibilities: POWER Engineers is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Infrastructure team as a cybersecurity intern. As a cyber security intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside infrastructure and information security experienced professionals in the industry and gain practical experience in various aspects of cyber security. This position will conduct vulnerability assessments and review penetration tests to identify and address security weaknesses in the organization's systems and networks. In addition, this position will participate in incident response plans and procedures to minimize the impact of cyber attacks. The individual will assist in monitoring networks and systems for suspicious activity and responding to security incidents as they occur. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to build a career in cyber security and wants to gain real-world experience by collaborating with other IT departments within the IT division to develop and implement security policies and procedures that meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Role Responsibilities: + Assist in monitoring and analyzing security logs and alerts + Participate in vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts + Conduct security assessments and risk assessments + Assist in implementing security policies and procedures + Work with various teams to identify and remediate security issues + Assist in incident response activities In addition to working under the guidance of experienced team members, the selected intern will also participate in sessions designed to develop your skills and provide networking opportunities. Those sessions include: + Professional Development sessions focused on resume writing, interview tips, building a LinkedIn profile, and more. + Early Talent Speaker Series where leaders speak to interns about their role, vision for the company, and career path, offer career advice, and a Q&A session. + Fun Friday activities where interns company-wide join to network and have some fun while doing it. Duration: This internship will last for a minimum of 3 months, with the possibility of extension based on performance and availability.
