Location: 1260 Collings Dr., Lockbourne, OH 43137

Pay: $55,500 - $73,000, depending on experience.

Shift 1: Sunday - Wednesday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Hours subject to change depending on the needs of the experience.

Shift 2: Wednesday - Saturday from 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Hours subject to change depending on the needs of the experience.

Employment Logistics:

As an Area Manager for OnTrac, you will report directly to the Operations Manager of the facility and be responsible for managing all the sort activities and volume within an assigned area. In addition, you will be responsible for identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing change to enhance business outcomes within the operation.

The Must-Haves:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
• College degree preferred
• 1 year of demonstrated leadership experience and 2 years of industry experience

Your Mission in Motion:

• Manage and schedule Package Handlers and Leads to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency in assigned facility areas.
• Set clear performance expectations, monitor progress, provide feedback, address issues, and enforce discipline to ensure team effectiveness.
• Determine staffing needs according to business conditions and hire qualified candidates to meet identified staffing needs.
• Foster engagement through communication, motivation strategies, and pre-sort meetings to align employees with goals and safety priorities.
• Track line-haul times, trailer percentages, and package flow to ensure accurate loading and on-time departures per SOPs.
• Execute various administrative duties, including but not limited to, safety training, operational audits, and end of shift reporting.
• Enforce safety policies, ensure proper procedures, and provide necessary materials for safe and efficient operations. Assist with the sort process as appropriate.

Paving Your Way to Success:

• Understand and adhere to the security guidelines outlined in OnTrac’s Acceptable Use policy
• Understand pickup routes, drivers, customers, and inbound schedules to adjust staffing, maintain package flow, and prevent bottlenecks.
• Effectively present information, answer questions, and communicate promptly with internal and external customers.
• Efficiently prioritize tasks and resolve issues under pressure.
• Comprehend and follow written or oral instructions and ability to apply basic math skills.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision or instruction and make independent judgement calls.
