Job Description
Description We are looking for a dedicated Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Morgan Hill, California. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to contribute to various HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, and administrative support. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring a smooth HR process while maintaining high standards of professionalism and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and facilitate onboarding processes to ensure new employees have a seamless start.
- Maintain and update employee records within the Human Resources Information System (HRIS).
- Assist with administrative tasks, including managing documentation and handling inquiries from staff.
- Support employee relations initiatives by addressing concerns and fostering a positive workplace environment.
- Conduct background checks and verify employment details for new hires.
- Collaborate with team members to improve and streamline HR processes.
- Provide guidance and support to employees regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Prepare reports and presentations related to HR activities and metrics.
- Ensure compliance with all legal and organizational HR requirements.
- Act as a liaison between employees and management to address HR-related matters. Requirements - Proven experience in human resources administration or a related field.
- Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) and their functionalities.
- Strong knowledge of onboarding procedures and employee relations practices.
- Experience conducting background checks and managing confidential data.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
