We are seeking a skilled Hadoop Developer to join our team in Jersey City, NJ. The ideal candidate will possess a strong proficiency in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Unix, Impala, and Graph technologies. Additionally, experience with Python is required. This role will primarily involve hands-on development, focusing on processing large volumes of data within the Hadoop ecosystem, utilizing Graph technologies for data analysis, and leveraging Spark for all data analytical work. The candidate should be comfortable handling approximately 50 million rows of data and possess a solid understanding of database concepts.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Hadoop-based solutions for processing and analyzing large datasets.
• Utilize Hive, Spark, and other relevant technologies for data processing and analysis.
• Implement and optimize Graph-based algorithms for data analysis and visualization.
• Write efficient code in Python for various data processing tasks.
• Work closely with the team to understand project requirements and deliver solutions accordingly.
• Handle large volumes of data effectively and ensure data integrity and security.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues as they arise and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with database administrators and other team members to optimize data storage and retrieval processes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5-6 years of hands-on experience in Hadoop development, with proficiency in Hive, Spark, Unix, Impala, and Graph technologies.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with data analytical work in Spark, including processing and analyzing large datasets.
• Familiarity with database concepts and experience working with databases.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $60.00 - $65.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift

Experience:
