Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Global Sourcing and Procurement Manager to oversee the sourcing, procurement of finished goods, materials and packaging from both domestic and international suppliers. Reportint to the VP of Operations, this role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in supply chain management, vendor relations, global logistics and cost optimization. The successful candidate will ensure efficient and cost-effective product sourcing, while collaborating with key stakeholders to drive innovation and maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sourcing & Vendor Management: Develop and execute sourcing strategies, identifying and negotiating with suppliers to ensure cost-effective, high-quality products and materials. You are the primary point of contact between Miss Jones and domestic and global suppliers and inbound logistics providers.
  • Innovation Collaboration: Partner with the New Product Development teams to source materials and suppliers for new products, ensuring alignment with quality, cost, and timeline goals.
  • Logistics Strategy & Cost Optimization: Work closely with logistics partners to optimize transportation, delivery, and supply chain efficiency, while focusing on cost reduction and process improvements.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels for globally sourced products with long lead times, ensuring optimal stock levels to meet demand without incurring excess inventory costs.
  • Risk & Compliance Management: Monitor international trade risks, tariffs, and regulations to ensure all sourcing activities comply with legal standards and best practices.
  • Performance Tracking & Reporting: Track and report on procurement and logistics performance, providing actionable insights on cost savings, supplier performance, and process improvements.
  • Cross-Functional Partnership : Leverage your skills and expertise to support key operations projects and initiatives as required.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related field. A Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CPSM, SCMP) are a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years overseeing international sourcing and logistics. Experience importing from Asia is required. Experience in food, beverage or closely related industry required. Confection, baking, or decorating industry is a plus.
  • Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs processes, and global logistics. Experience with strategic sourcing, vendor negotiations, and contract management. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with procurement software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage supplier relationships and work cross-functionally. Ability to successfully navigate ambiguity and competing priorities that come with the rapid growth and expansion of a business and product line. Start-up experience is a plus. 
  • Language Skills: Fluency in English is required. Additional language skills (e.g., Mandarin, Spanish, etc.) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional international travel to visit suppliers, attend trade shows, or manage logistics operations.
  • Flexibility in work hours may be needed to coordinate with international suppliers and teams in different time zones.
