About the Role iCapital is building a transformative and reusable AML/KYC passport to provide a scalable, end-to-end solution to onboard investors, verify identities, and monitor transactions in alternative investments. We are seeking a proven leader with operational experience to build out a team and develop an enterprise-wide anti-money laundering and economic sanctions program consistent with applicable laws, rules, and regulations. Responsibilities Work with the Product team to develop and implement a technological, state-of-the-art process to onboard and validate investors, monitor transactions, and conduct ongoing surveillance for a global client base. Establish and evolve a risk model and related tools to help identify potential money laundering operations and reduce overall risk. Have a detailed understanding of relevant laws, rules, and regulations relating to AML and sanctions on a global basis. Develop, implement, and/or enhance risk-based processes for onboarding investors, transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, and name screening. Build and supervise investor onboarding, transaction monitoring, and surveillance team that is responsible for investor onboarding and validation, monitoring, and performance reporting. Develop metrics and analytic frameworks to support ongoing financial crime risk mitigation strategies. Engage in cross-departmental collaboration with internal stakeholders to develop, position, and market the AML/KYC passport. Engage with external stakeholders, including potential customers and regulators, regarding the AML/KYC passport and associated processes. Provide thought leadership on possible improvements to both monitoring technology and other non-IT elements of identifying unusual activity. Provide thought leadership on the use of non-rule-based surveillance technologies (e.g., artificial intelligence). Qualifications 10+ years of deep expertise in AML/KYC/sanctions operations, with significant experience with client onboarding as well as using transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, and name screening tools including watch list software, and technology for US and non-US investors. Strong leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with keen attention to detail and the ability to produce clear, concise reports. In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, financial crime compliance, and relevant industry best practices. Experience working within the financial services, fintech, or fund administration industries. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and prioritize risks effectively. Adaptable to new technologies and work processes. Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification is preferred. Benefits The base salary range for this role is $200,000 to $240,000. iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
