Our client, a leader in the electronics industry, is seeking a Gas & Fire Safety Technician to join their team. As a Gas & Fire Safety Technician, you will be part of the operations team supporting Life Safety Systems. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Gas & Fire Safety Technician

Location: Tualatin, OR

Duration: 12+ Months contract to hire

What's the Job?

• Support operations of Life Safety Systems including Fire & Gas Detection and Seismic monitoring.
• Audit, schedule maintenance, and perform repairs on FLSS and Gas Detection equipment.
• Participate in the testing of fire detection systems as per the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Assist in gas detection testing with controls engineers and the EHS team.
• Manage gas detection tape inventory and coordinate orders as needed.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience with FLSS equipment (FACP, Gas Detection, Fire systems) is preferred.
• Associate degree or equivalent experience in electronics, design, or engineering is a plus.
• Ability to work a 12-hour compressed shift schedule.
• Willingness to undergo comprehensive on-the-job training and technical training.
