Carney, Sandoe & Associates, an education recruitment firm, is currently seeking a French Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at private and independent school in Jackson, MS.

French Teacher Responsibilities:

• Teach multiple French course sections across beginner to advanced levels.
• Developing lesson plans and curricula based on the needs of individual students.
• Desire to contribute to the development of the Foreign Language curriculum and supporting the school’s academic advancement.
• Conducting research on teaching methods, materials, and language games that can be used in class.
• Scheduling and preparing students for oral and written examinations.
• Monitoring student's progress by writing up reports and grading assessments.
• Organizing feedback sessions with students and their parents if applicable.
• Providing suggestions for further learning and scheduling intervention sessions with struggling students.
• Teaching students about French culture, which may include festivals, traditional food, and dress, and social conventions.
• Serve as an advisor to middle school students.

French Teacher Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in French language, literature, or an equivalent may be required.
• Proven written and verbal proficiency in French.
• 2-3 years of previous teaching experience.
• No teaching license or credential is required.
• Strong interpersonal as well as written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-organized and able to handle multiple responsibilities.

Additional Desired Qualities:

• Willingness to work with upper school students.
• Passion for foreign language education.
• Desire to be involved in school-wide initiatives and extracurricular activities.
