Job Title: Finisher - 2nd Shift
Job Description

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing products to meet customer specifications by using hand grinders to sand and grind down excess metal. You will also be involved in the assembly of products and assist machine operators during downtime. The position requires the use of various hand and power tools to ensure product quality through inspection and quality assurance. Additionally, you will perform general cleaning duties in your work area and lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare products for customers, finishing to customer specifications.
• Use hand grinders to sand and grind down excess metal.
• Assemble products as needed.
• Assist machine operators during downtime.
• Utilize various hand and power tools.
• Inspect products and perform quality assurance to ensure quality.
• Conduct general cleaning duties in the work area.
• Lift objects weighing up to 55 lbs.

Essential Skills

• Experience in general production, manufacturing, and finishing.
• Proficiency in using hand grinders and power tools.
• Familiarity with machine operation and metal finishing.
• Ability to perform mechanical assembly and inspection.
• Comfortable with using hand tools and swinging a hammer to straighten parts.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3 months of prior production/manufacturing experience is preferred but not required.
• Experience in grinding, sanding, and deburring.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and perform kitting.

Work Environment

The work environment can be warm during the summer months. Employees must wear metatarsal boots and safety glasses for protection. The dress code is casual, but shorts and cut-off sleeves are not permitted.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Le Sueur, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $20.25/hr.
