Founded in 2017 by Dr. Carlos Tirado, CARMAhealth is an integrated primary care and behavioral health practice dedicated to providing in-network access to individuals struggling with addiction and co-occurring psychiatric conditions. Over the past seven years, CARMAhealth has expanded across three states (Texas, Florida, and Virginia), offering both in-person and telemedicine behavioral health and primary care services for various treatment facilities, hospitals, and state-funded agencies. In addition, we provide outpatient medication management, ketamine, and TMS services.
We are currently seeking a *Full Time OR Part Time Nurse Practitioner* to join our team.
_*This would be a Monday-Friday role that is located a newly opened detox facility in Buda, TX. *_
_*We are looking to fill this role in the next 4-8 weeks*_
*Responsibilities:*
The Nurse Practitioner will provide in-person, on-site comprehensive medical care, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of low to moderate acuity acute and chronic medical issues, as well as withdrawal management for substance use disorders. The FM NP will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care, using evidence-based practices, medication management, psychotherapy, and support services.
*Skills and Abilities:*
* Knowledge of the principles and practices of family medicine.
* Proficient in conducting history and physical examinations.
* Strong communication and written skills.
* Understanding of state and federal patient confidentiality laws.
* Knowledge of drug-free workplace policies and workplace violence prevention.
* Familiarity with corporate integrity and compliance programs.
* Basic understanding of the disease model of addiction.
*Qualifications:*
* Master’s Degree in Nursing.
* At least 2 years of clinical experience and a willingness to provide withdrawal management (detox) services.
* Active state license and DEA certification.
* Contractors must carry malpractice insurance.
* Maintenance of continuing medical education (CME) requirements.
