Description:
Our client is currently seeking an Environmental Attorney to join their growing team. This is a full-time, permanent position.

Responsibilities Include:

• Analyze and interpret data obtained from literature reviews, case law, criminal, civil, and regulatory research
• Prepare and draft various legal arguments, drafts, settlements, and other relevant legal materials.
• Determine if there is sufficient evidence contrary to the environmental regulations in question in order to proceed with prosecution
• Participate in pre-trial negotiations and discovery sessions
• Counsel clients and their organizations about their rights under current regulation as well as their obligations
• Build and maintain internal and external client relationships.

Qualifications:

• A Juris Doctorate from an accredited university is required.
• 5+ years of experience in Environmental Law.
• Must be licensed to practice in New York State.
• Must have excellent organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are needed.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
