Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

📍 Bohemia, NY | 💼 Full-Time | Onsite

💲 $110,000 – $125,000 annually

A leading manufacturing organization in Bohemia, NY is seeking a proactive and experienced EHS Manager to develop and lead safety and compliance programs across multiple facilities. This is a key role for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is ready to elevate workplace health, safety, and environmental standards.

About the Role:

The EHS Manager will be responsible for building and executing a comprehensive, facility-specific Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) plan aligned with corporate goals. You’ll lead compliance efforts, train staff, engage with regulatory bodies, and implement innovative programs to reduce workplace hazards and foster a culture of safety.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and lead the EH&S strategy across multiple sites
• Identify, assess, and mitigate potential safety and environmental hazards
• Lead all incident investigations and corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all federal/state/local regulations
• Oversee the creation and delivery of annual safety training plans
• Conduct formal reviews of equipment, systems, and facility processes
• Partner with operations leadership to ensure safe work practices
• Lead third-party audits and manage follow-up actions
• Maintain accurate records and reporting in compliance with regulatory agencies
• Perform other safety-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in EHS, Science, Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of EH&S experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of OSHA and other regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to drive safety culture and influence organizational behavior
• Experience with behavior-based safety, risk assessments, audits, and compliance programs
• Multi-site safety management experience preferred
• Exceptional communication skills and cross-functional collaboration
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
