What you need to be successful:

• Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent degree) required.
• Additional emphasis in Software Engineering desired.
• Ability to take direction from senior engineering staff and contribute to the evaluation of analog and digital designs.
• Strong skills in the documentation of test plans and report presentation of data collection: Graphs, spreadsheets, etc.
• Co-op or intern work experience in a manufacturing and engineering environment preferred.
• Experience in embedded and user-interface software development tools preferred.
• Experience with CADInt for schematic and board layout desired.
• An understanding in voltage, current and power measurement technologies a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in use of test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other lab equipment including soldering irons.

What you'll be doing:

• Acts on direction from senior engineering staff and contributes to the evaluation of analog and digital designs. Maintains process integrity by performing verification for all products.
• Expected to build prototypes, which would include soldering electronic components.
• Researches and recommends materials or design components in support of engineering decisions.
• Conducts testing required to achieve agency approvals: UL, CE, military, etc.
• Ensures exchange of information with other groups or team members as required: drafting, productions, etc. in making schematic and printed circuit board design suggestions. Alter bills of material, revise/create production documentation, etc.
• Works with Engineering team members and other company departments as required to meet project milestones and to accomplish the previously listed duties and responsibilities
