Job Description

Our client is looking for an Engineering Project Manager for West Des Moines, IA!

Pay: $90,000 - $110,000 (DOE)

Hours: not limited to 8am-5pm (Monday-Friday)

Responsibilities:

Perform structural analysis, design calculations, and PE stamping for Observation & Report and Design services
Conduct on-site assessments, gather field data, and prepare written engineering reports that meet company SOP standards. Lead drafting coordination and review drawing packages for permitting
Provide independent quality control reviews of calculations, reports, and drawings
Support construction administration: site inspections, contractor coordination, compliance verification
Mentor junior staff and collaborate with sales, admin, and tech teams to keep projects on schedule
Maintain PE licensure, continuing education, and up-to-date code knowledge

Requirements:

Active PE license in Iowa (or ability to obtain within 3 months), additional Midwest licensure a plus
B.S. in Civil, Structural or Mechanical Engineering
Willingness to travel within 60-mile radius, as needed
Familiarity with FHA foundation requirements, ICC/IBC, NEC, and ASHRAE standards
