We're seeking a Engineering Project Manager who will work with clients and vendors to design water and wastewater treatment solutions that meet the customer’s needs. The ideal candidate will have a PE license in at least one state and will have a firm understanding of the various technologies in the WTP and WWTP industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage water and wastewater treatment engineering projects.
  • Translate customer requirements into functional system designs.
  • Review pre-construction design and documentation.
  • Prepare meeting agendas and document meeting minutes.
  • Manage sub-consultant agreements, work tasks and project budgets.
  • Support the sales team by assisting with technical design, estimating hours, and highlighting logistical challenges.
  • Generate functional system descriptions and diagrams.
  • Provide ongoing engineering support.
  • Perform system calculations from preliminary to final design.
  • Provide markups for plans and lead cost estimates.
  • Coordinate with project staff, other disciplines, subconsultants, clients, and reviewers to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
  • Manage and maintain project documentation, including meeting project schedules, budgets, and scope.
  • Assist in proposal development, scopes of work, and fee schedule preparation.
  • Mentor junior staff with technical and professional development.
  • Collaborate with and manage external engineering firms and consultants.
  • Review and approve final design of projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (civil, mechanical, environmental or other related field), or Construction Management
  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in one or more states preferred.
  • Knowledge and understanding of water and wastewater treatment technologies.
  • Experience with general construction, utilities, and/or water and wastewater treatment plants.
  • Ability to read and understand civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical drawings.
  • Ability to create process & instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Proficient with MS Office products and other standard software packages.
  • Proficient with CAD and other design software platforms.

Location & Travel:

This is a remote-based position. The Engineering Project Manager will be required to travel to job sites up to 4-6 days per month.
