Job Summary – Email Marketing Specialist

This 3-month contract-to-hire position will utilize Klaviyo to maintain and develop all aspects of email and SMS marketing campaigns and automation.

Blade HQ is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist. This 3-month contract position will work with the Flytanium brand team to effectively market and sell pocketknives and pocketknife accessories through email and SMS marketing. The Email Marketing Specialist will maintain and grow customer databases, create and improve automated email / SMS marketing flows, stay compliant with relevant laws and regulations, and design and execute tandem email and SMS campaigns. They will be responsible for writing polished marketing copy and designing visual elements for email using assets built by the creative team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct market research to better understand our existing and prospective customers

• Maintain databases of marketing opted-in customers

• Create and maintain email and SMS marketing campaigns and flows that align with marketing, brand, and sales objectives

• Use data and testing to optimize Klaviyo campaigns and flows

• Stay informed on laws and regulations regarding email and SMS marketing and ensure compliance

• Design basic graphic elements and visuals for email and SMS that adhere to brand guidelines

• Assist with Klaviyo integration into other services. E.g. sign-up forms, Customer Hub, Shopify customer notifications

Requirements

• Proficiency and proven success with Klaviyo email campaigns, email flows, SMS campaigns, and SMS flows

• Excellent communication skills in English both internally and to customers

• Prior database management experience, preferably in a similar role focused on customer lists

• Analytical data-driven decision making skills

• Outstanding copywriting and copyediting abilities in fluent English for varied audiences

• Efficient, self-driven time management and natural ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously

• Basic graphic design knowledge and some proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop or similar design tools.

• Advanced graphic design skills, product photography aptitude, and a great eye for visual trends are huge pluses

Work Environment

• Climate controlled office environment.

• Some exposure to mild chemicals used to clean product.

Education and Experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older.

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communication, or related field OR equivalent professional work experience

• 1-3 years of professional experience in email marketing

Rate: $30+/hr depending on experience (no benefits or PTO)

Expected Hours: 40hrs/wk

Location: Hybrid in Pleasant Grove, UT, typically 3 days in-office per week

Start: October 2025

Contract: 3-month to start, with potential to extend or hire
