Job Overview The Email Marketing Strategist will lead the Monthly Ad Plan for all departments. This person will drive the process of sending daily email advertisements, be responsible for coordinating ad schedules, manage unforeseen schedule changes and maintain the weekly ad planning presentation. Email and SMS campaign support will also extend to and including Primary Arms Corporate, Primary Arms Optics, Primary Arms Government, Expo Arms and Primary Arms Wholesale. Additionally, the Sr. Email Marketing Strategist will lead in managing new datasets including Giveaways, Bonus Bucks, PA Government, and PA Optics dealer records.Responsibilities and Duties
- Works with Sr. Email Marketing Manager, Merchandising Managers and Creative Design Manager to execute a monthly Ad Planning report and approval process
- Leads department team members, Merchandising and Creative team to build, approve and send all email & SMS campaigns
- Coordinates email content for Primary Arms Optics, Wholesale, and Government teams to build weekly email launches, programs or dealer communications
- Responsible for configuring new or adding to existing email lists such as Giveaway subscribers, Bonus Bucks recipients, PA GOV applicants, and subscribers generated through planned trade shows or Range Day events
- Analyzes reporting on recurring emails for Retail, GOV, Wholesale and PA Optics
- Leads A/B testing process and present reporting on results
- Responsible for all Carousel banners, Featured Brand, and Media purchases of banner placements
- Provides competitor email marketing trends and ideas
- Explores and proposes new email marketing strategies and opportunities
Skills and Qualifications - 2+ years hands on experience editing website or email banners with Illustrator and Photoshop (College level experience with Graphics Design accepted) to create multi-product images or make last minute changes to existing email or web banners and graphics
- Ability to understand our industry, marketplace, including competition, consumer behavior/demands and demographics
- Strategy and execution of email initiatives
- Familiarity with E-Mail Platforms (e.g. Listrak, Bronto, ExactTarget, Constant Contact, aWeber, MailChimp, Drip, SendGrid, SendinBlue, etc...)
- Working knowledge of Email Copywriting and Email Design
- Ability to work with Content Management Systems (CMS) and change graphics, text etc.
- Knowledge of format types such as PDF, TIF, EPS, JPG, PNG, GIF and how to create/edit them
- Working knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Understanding of Mobile Design
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Education/Experience - 2+ years hands on experience in creating E-Marketing Campaigns on Enterprise level E-Mail Marketing platforms
- Asset management for email and landing page execution
- Knowledge of best practices in HTML
- Database experience or Python coding a PLUS
- Keen sense of composition, typography, color theory, space, scale, layout and grid systems for print and digital
- Ability to follow existing brand and style guidelines
- A portfolio of design from Illustrator and Photoshop
- Firearm enthusiast or firearms industry experience/knowledge a plus
