Job Description

As an Electrical Project Estimator , you will be responsible for accurately estimating electrical systems for a wide range of multifamily & commercial construction projects . You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure estimates are precise, competitive, and aligned with project goals. Key Responsibilities :

  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for electrical systems for multifamily & commercial construction projects .
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and contractors to understand project scope and requirements.
  • Develop material takeoffs, labor costs, and equipment requirements for all electrical systems.
  • Review project plans and specifications to identify potential challenges, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
  • Analyze and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes, ensuring the best value and quality.
  • Assist with bid preparation, including writing proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
  • Work closely with the project management team during the pre-construction phase to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and project documents.

Qualifications :

  • 2+ years of experience estimating electrical systems, preferably in multifamily construction .
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (piping, HVAC, plumbing) and how they integrate within multifamily construction.
  • Excellent knowledge of estimating software , tools, and systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
  • Proven experience with cost analysis , vendor management, and subcontractor selection.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or related field is a plus but not required.
