Job Description

Job Title: Lead Power BI Developer Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite 3 days a week) Employment Type: Contract Key Responsibilities:

Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Power BI reports and dashboards.
Manage and coordinate tasks with an offshore development team to ensure timely delivery of projects.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Perform data modeling, data transformation, and data visualization tasks to create insightful and actionable BI reports.
Ensure the quality and accuracy of data in reports and dashboards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and offshore team members.
Stay updated with the latest BI trends, tools, and best practices.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Power BI Developer, with hands-on expertise in creating and managing BI reports and dashboards.
Strong experience in leading and coordinating offshore teams.
Proficiency in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and other BI tools.
Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders and team members.
Ability to commute to the NiSource office in downtown Columbus 2 to 3 days a week.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the utilities or energy sector.
Familiarity with other BI tools such as Tableau or QlikView.
Knowledge of SQL and database management systems.
