POSITION OVERVIEW:

Provides overall direction to material management functions throughout the GF Clinic healthcare delivery system encompassing all tasks related to the strategic planning, purchase, receipt, storage, product standardization and disbursement of materials, supplies, and equipment throughout the facility. May directly supervise and evaluate work of department personnel or delegate responsibility to supervisory staff. Establishes policies and procedures and maintains necessary records. Responsible and accountable for achieving financial objectives for inventory, purchase price standards and capital expenditures. Gives direction to: Materials Management staff. Receives direction from: Administration.

EDUCATION:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, materials management, accounting or similar degree, required.
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in leadership roles with relative knowledge of purchasing, contracting, materials management, distribution, or other related areas, required.
  • Previous experience in healthcare setting including supervision within materials management operations, required.
  • Hospital and clinic experiences, preferred.
  • Military experience in leadership roles in Logistics functions, also considered leadership experience, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
  • Negotiation skills, innovative problem solver, demonstrated understanding of product costing and cost management skills, required.
  • Inventory management, required.
  • Proficient computer skills with a solid understanding of spreadsheet applications, required.
