The Director oversees prospect management services and processes; manages, reviews and coordinates research efforts on existing and potential donors to provide valuable information to update the advancement database, identify prospects and create bios; and partners in creating donor strategies. Essential Job Functions Analyzes information from online services and the advancement database to identify, rate, and recommend prospects through biographical, financial and philanthropic research. Engages in proactive prospect identification and qualification and provides research-based counsel regarding strategy, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship to assist development. Executes a variety of prospect management services including portfolio development, portfolio management, portfolio analysis and review, pipeline management and prospect management processes and data management. Standardizes research requests by establishing policies, procedures, templates and a tracking system. Creates bios for the purpose of events, leadership meetings and other university activities, as requested. Assists in the preparation and monitoring of department budget. Supervises and develops the department staff, facilitating professional opportunities to improve individual capability and managing performance against job accountabilities, department goals and established university, campus and department policies and procedures. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Minimum of a bachelor's degree. Moderate amount of experience working in prospect research, higher education or other related experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree or greater in business, liberal arts or a related field of study. Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge.
