The Center for Interfaith and Spiritual Life will foster and support the diverse religious and spiritual needs of the George Washington University community, promoting interfaith dialogue, understanding, and cooperation. George Washington University seeks a dynamic and innovative leader to serve as the Director of Interfaith and Spiritual Life. This is a unique opportunity to foster a welcoming and inclusive space for students, faculty, and staff on a secular campus to explore their religious and spiritual identities, engage in interfaith dialogue, and navigate ethical challenges. The Director will play a pivotal role in shaping a vibrant and diverse community that respects and celebrates all individual journeys of meaning and purpose. Reporting to the University Chaplain, the Director of Interfaith and Spiritual Life will:Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization plus 10 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Master’s degree or higher in a relevant area of study plus 8 years of relevant professional experience. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
