Job Description: The Role Fidelity's Workplace Digital Experience (WDX) architecture team is looking for an experienced customer-focused digital solution architect to help us build the next generation of cross-channel shared digital experiences for our external customers, internal associates, and client agents. In this role, you will be a critical resource bringing together business and technical teams as we seek to modernize and transform digital capabilities within our Defined Contribution (DC), Defined Benefits (DB), and Stock Plan Services products. The resulting experience, available on both web and mobile platforms, will be used by millions of customers across the US and Puerto Rico as they save for retirement, invest assets, build wealth, and ultimately withdraw money to live out their dreams! The Expertise and Skills You Bring The ideal candidate for this role: Has experience architecting and building large scale, high performing internet facing web and/or mobile platforms that align to architecture blueprints and technical standards in an environment where security is paramount. Has demonstrated experience designing and consuming APIs with technologies including Federated GraphQL, Spring Boot and Java. Has extensive knowledge in client-side technologies including Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, etc. Has contributed to defining and documenting architectural patterns, standards, and blueprints, and can evaluate proposed solutions based on their alignment to the same. Will be a trusted advisor to business partners and will influence their product roadmaps by recommending strategies and approaches that help them achieve their goals. Works collaboratively with engineering teams when sought out for consultation and technical guidance. Works equally well whether independently or with others and is able to effectively lead several initiatives at once. Is an expert communicator, helping non-technical people to understand technical concepts while being able to explain the business strategy to technical audiences. We are looking for someone who holds a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, or has equivalent experience in this or a related field.
