Job Description: AI/ML Solution Architect The Role Would you like to help shape the future of Fidelity’s Wealth and Brokerage product experiences using your expertise in building natural language processing applications? The AI/ML Solution Architect plays a key role in the Digital Foundations Architecture (DFA) team. Our technology powers seamless voice and chat experiences for both our customers and representatives so that they can accomplish customer service tasks quickly and efficiently. The AI Solutions team delivers these solutions by applying Natural Language Processing (NLP), Machine Learning models, and modular user interfaces to build fast and efficient experiences that support our customer’s financial well-being. Furthermore, adapting search platforms to new methodologies such as Semantic Search will be key to the success in this role. This role will lead the architecture to blend Experience design, NLP, Search, and AI to build virtual assistants and copilot experiences to better assist our customers and associates. The Solution Architect works closely with business sponsors, project managers, engineers, and architects to develop strategies, standards, policies, and recommendations to develop best of class solutions for our associates and customers. This role leads the end-to-end architecture and is responsible for ensuring solutions meet strategic business and technical goals. The Solution Architect should enjoy open collaboration across teams, owning the outcome, and be well versed in both hands-on technical challenges and communicating strategies to partners. The Expertise and Skills You Bring BS degree in Computer Science or related software engineer field or equivalent experience Experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead Expertise with Virtual Assistants / Chat Clients Expertise in integrating with Natural Language Processing / Machine Learning models Experience with OpenSearch, Redis, or other vector capable database Experience using Node.js / Java in an API first architecture Experience with Python, Jupyter, or other Data Science language Experience with LucidWorks (Apache Solr) Search Platform or similar Experience with Large Language Models (LLM) (e.g. GPT, Flan, LLaMA, etc) Understanding of User Experience development for web and mobile (JS, iOS, Android) Experience with cloud native AWS and/or Azure AI tools Expertise with CI/CD and unit test practices / Test Driven Development Knowledgeable of API Management and domain driven design Ability to translate business needs into technology solutions and provide end-to-end reference architecture designs Strong interpersonal skills who can clearly articulate and influence design solutions The Team Fidelity Enterprise Architecture team is seeking an individual who is looking for a meaningful and rewarding opportunity to help change and influence the future of Wealth and Brokerage applications and products in our next generation of experience platforms.
