Digital Design Engineer
Key Role:
Support critical government research and develop ment programs related to microelectronics design and verification. Work with industry-leading engineers in world-class research facilities to impact national security investment through the new develop ment of military applications for cutting-edge technologies. Maintain and leverage technical expertise , and build lasting relationships in serving clients. Assist your colleagues and clients in develop ing T rus ted Digital Logic designs leveraging commer cia l best practices and state of the art tools and techniques. Research and implement novel approaches for design and verification in the unique DoD design environment. Provide technical management support and strategic assessments of new technologies to support senior DoD decision-makers, including c ond ucting background research in evaluating the feasibility of and potential applications for new technological concepts. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program develop ment, and brief materials out for government research and develop ment efforts.
Basic Qualifications: \n - 3+ years of experience with digital Integrated Circuit ( IC ) design and verification using Hardware Description Languages ( HDL ) such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL
\n - Experience with functional and security verification analysis techniques, design, and validation
\n - Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
\n - Bachelor's degree in Engineering

Additional Qualifications: \n - Experience with EDA tool suites from vendors, including Cadence, Mentor, or Synopsys for VLSI design, synthesis, place and route physical design, integration, timing, and power optimization
\n - Experience with IC synthesis and layouts for digital designs, including running DRC signoff at advanced nodes
\n - Experience with writing SystemVerilog tests and coverage met rics for functional verification
\n - Experience with the design of electronic architectures such as RISC-V microprocessors, peripherals, and memories
\n - Experience with performing technical research, documenting results, and presenting findings to customers and stakeholders
\n - Ability to be self-motivated and entrepreneurial with a client-service mindset, seek out solutions, and deliver value within uncertain and evolving project environments
\n - Secret clearance
\n - Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
