Senior DoD Mission Risk Analyst

Job Description

Serves as an Operational Mission Risk Analyst to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense Cyber Warfare Directorate. Directly contributes to the success of a high-profile DoD program with Congressional mandates for national security in military systems, joint mission threads, and operational interdependencies at the Combatant Command level. Utilizes operations research skills, analytic computations, advanced data science techniques, and planning experience within the DoD community to support operational and strategic level command/agency staffs at multiple echelons.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in a strategic-level DoD environment (i.e. Joint Staff, DoD Agency, Combatant Command, or Service Staff)
• Expertise with combining, cleaning, and analyzing complex data sets to conduct detailed analysis
• Expertise with conducting detailed qualitative and quantitative analysis on mission impacts due to operational factors (i.e. threats, vulnerabilities, exposure, intent, controls, impacts or likelihood)
• Expertise in advising, briefing and interacting with senior Military and Government leaders
• Experience working in a professional environment
• TS/SCI clearance
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related field

Additional Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience conducting risk analysis, developing risk assessment methodologies, or creating risk matrices Experience with Mission Assurance, Supply Chain Risk Management (SCRM), Defense Critical Infrastructure (DCI), Continuity of Operations, or Cyber Threats
• Experience working as a Data Scientist or Operations Research Analyst
• Experience with Cyber Risk Mitigation
• Ability to communicate with government clients, contractors, and mission partners to convey ideas and concepts
• Master’s Degree in a STEM-related field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI Clearance is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $110,000 - $190,000 (Compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, skills, education, certifications, seniority, and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.)
