We are looking for a dedicated Customer Success Specialist to join our team in Long Beach, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students and ensuring a seamless experience throughout their educational journey. This role requires strong communication skills, a problem-solving mindset, and the ability to collaborate with multiple teams to achieve positive outcomes.

Responsibilities:
• Provide compassionate and detail-oriented support to students, addressing their needs and guiding them through key next steps in a timely manner.
• Identify underlying challenges and propose innovative solutions to help students overcome barriers to enrollment or continued education.
• Effectively communicate the value of our institution by aligning its benefits with the needs and goals of students and their influencers.
• Ensure accurate and compliant processing of financial aid applications in alignment with state and federal regulations.
• Guide students through the financial aid process, clarifying steps and providing updates on their progress.
• Educate students on financial aid options, rights, responsibilities, and alternative funding solutions, including scholarships and loans.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Student Services, Education, Employment Services, and Accounting teams to enhance student satisfaction and operational outcomes.
• Manage a designated caseload of students using various tools and processes to ensure their success.
• Work closely with admissions representatives to assess students’ likelihood of starting or continuing their education and to forecast enrollment outcomes.
• Support students throughout their educational journey to ensure retention, persistence, and successful graduation.• Proven experience in customer service or student support roles, preferably in the education or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with financial aid processes, including federal and state regulations.
• Proficiency in using tools such as Avaya CMS, CRM systems, and Epic Software.
• Strong ability to handle inbound calls and assist customers with inquiries and concerns.
• Knowledge of billing and benefit functions within an educational or financial context.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to addressing student needs.
• Effective collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and achieve shared goals.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly convey information and provide guidance.
