UMax Shipping as freight forwarder, is seeking a Customer Service & Operations Coordinator to assist our sales/business development professionals with freight forwarding sales bookings and supply chain operations management. You will coordinate personnel and processes to achieve the effective distribution of freight. Excellent communication, negotiation skills, and organization are great assets for this role. The ideal candidate will have great record-keeping abilities and a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to ensure smooth operations through a variety of channels while aiming for maximum efficiency.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, addressing their concerns, resolving issues, and ensuring their satisfaction.
- Continuously assess customer needs, market trends, and competitors to enhance service offerings and maintain a competitive edge.
- Manage file creation and all services associated with freight forwarding and logistics.
- Assist with account start-up and liaise with sales executives to ensure required documentation/information needed for the SOP is provided.
- Monitor/audit files weekly for compliance with estimate input, profit margin setting, and timely invoicing.
- Assist clients with their day-to-day requests related to export/import documentation to ensure proper execution of transportation files.
- Provide clients with complete Flight/Sailing details to ensure proper information flow.
- Liaise with airlines/ocean lines to procure the best possible solutions (capacity and cost) for the execution of transportation files.
- Liaise with internal network and external partner agents to guarantee the best possible service assistance.
- Act quickly in possible emergency situations that may arise within the life of an air/ocean file.
- Network with operations colleagues to ensure proper support is given in case of workflow overload.

EXPERIENCE
- At least 1 year of relevant and recent experience in freight forwarding operations and customer service.
- Freight forwarding experience preferred.

SKILLS
- Freight Forwarding: Solid and demonstrated working knowledge of the freight forwarding industry.
- Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations.
- Agile Skills: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks to meet various deadlines.
- Computer Skills: Intermediate computer skills with proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyze numbers and attention to detail.
- Communication: Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate with clients, carriers, other forwarders, and vendors.
- Languages: Fluent in English; additional languages are a bonus but not a must.
