A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be: Experience: Two years of experience in jail operation and inmate supervision at a level equivalent to the County's class of Correctional Officer I. Training: Completion of twelfth grade, or G.E.D, supplemented by college level coursework in law enforcement or a related field. Required License or Certificate: Possession of, or ability to obtain a valid driver's license. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required. Must have completed entry level core training as required by Title 15 of the Corrections Standards Authority and the course work required by State Penal Code Section 832. Vets Hired
