Job Overview:

We are seeking a talented and experienced Corporate Chef to join our culinary team. As the Corporate Chef, you will be responsible for creating innovative menu concepts, overseeing food quality and consistency, ensuring operational efficiency, and managing kitchen staff across multiple company locations. You will work closely with senior leadership, kitchen teams, and suppliers to maintain the highest standards of food production, while ensuring that food costs and safety regulations are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Menu Development & Innovation:

    • Lead the design and development of new menu items, seasonal offerings, and special promotions, ensuring they align with the company's brand, values, and customer expectations.
    • Collaborate with marketing and operations teams to ensure menus are consistent across locations and reflect current culinary trends.
  • Operational Oversight:

    • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of kitchens at multiple locations, maintaining consistency in food quality and presentation.
    • Implement and manage standard operating procedures (SOPs) for kitchen staff, food preparation, and service.
    • Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and presentation to ensure consistency across all locations.
  • Team Leadership & Training:

    • Lead and manage kitchen teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and high morale.
    • Develop training programs for kitchen staff to improve cooking techniques, safety standards, and customer service.
    • Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to kitchen staff.
  • Inventory & Cost Management:

    • Oversee inventory levels and ensure accurate ordering of food supplies, equipment, and kitchen tools.
    • Work with the finance team to develop and manage food budgets, monitor food costs, and minimize waste.
    • Conduct regular audits of kitchen inventory to ensure cost efficiency and prevent loss.
  • Compliance & Food Safety:

    • Ensure all kitchens comply with health and safety regulations, including food storage, sanitation, and employee safety practices.
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
    • Stay updated on industry best practices and safety standards.
  • Supplier & Vendor Relationships:

    • Develop and maintain relationships with food suppliers and vendors to ensure the highest quality ingredients are sourced at competitive prices.
    • Negotiate contracts and manage supplier agreements to maintain consistent product quality.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education:

    • Culinary Arts degree or equivalent professional experience in the culinary industry.
    • Certification in food safety and sanitation is preferred.
  • Experience:

    • 7+ years of experience in a high-level culinary position (e.g., Executive Chef, Sous Chef, or Corporate Chef).
    • Proven experience managing kitchens across multiple locations.
    • Experience with menu development, food costing, and vendor negotiations.
    • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Skills:

    • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
    • Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
    • Strong creativity and a passion for food innovation.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and restaurant management software.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time position with occasional travel to different company locations.
  • Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on business needs.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
