Responsibilities to Anticipate for this role - Contract Administration duties in support of multiple contracts with a focus on Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. Responsibilities to include leading proposal preparations and submittals, negotiations, execution of modifications, correspondence and customer interface. Responsible for coordination of required approvals and notifications pursuant to Contract Administration Procedures and Company Standard Practices.
- Responsible for larger, more complex contracts and engagements to include Major Programs of Record, potential for significant competitive procurements, high visibility firm-fixed price (FFP) production contracts and complex engineering, CLS/service & development programs (typically valued at >$20M).
- Administer nonstandard contractual documents such as direct commercial sale, teaming agreements, leases, bailment agreements, etc.
- Participate and advise in the preparation of quotations, bids and proposals, requests for estimates (RFEs), AOPs & AOCs, drafting and releasing Sales Orders, and all other required contract administration documentation.
- Responsible for creating and preparing briefing packages and presenting to senior leadership.
- Provide on the job Contracts training for entry level employees.
- Responsible for follow-up and tracking customer correspondence and issues as well as interface with internal and external customers to ensure prompt resolution of problems and effective day-to-day communications.
- Organize, track and input data to support department metrics and quality initiatives.
Qualifications Sought - Bachelor Degree in Business, appropriate Liberal Arts or science. Other bachelor degrees or disciplines considered with experience. Prior experience with Government contracting is a significant advantage.
- At least 5 years' professional experience in contracts, procurement, program management or relevant discipline.
- Eligible to obtain security clearance.
- Adherence to schedules and ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and accomplish tasks in a timely and professional manner.,
- Ability to develop detailed proposal packages and independently interact with upper management and multiple program offices regarding required approvals.
- Ability to resolve and complete complex contract administration assignments/problems with minimal supervision utilizing ingenuity and innovation.
- Ability to develop and maintain key relationships with Senior leadership and external customers, including TACOM, USG, DCMA, DCAA.
- Reading, interpreting, drafting contractual language and documents.
- Knowledge in the FAR and DFAR preferred.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills in price, terms and conditions and/or contract amendments.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) required.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Some travel (possibly International) may be required.
- Expectations to develop department/division expertise such as offset, direct commercial sales, unique FAR expertise, negotiation expertise, lead SME for contract actions, etc.
- Provide mentoring for entry level employees and lower level Contract Administrators (CAs).
