Contracts Manager, Fulfillment Operations Robotics & Technology Legal

Come and be a part of Amazon's Fulfillment Operations Robotics & Technology Legal team! We are looking for a smart and motivated individual to provide contract management support as part of the legal team supporting Amazon's Fulfillment Technologies & Robotics business. As a Contracts Manager, you will be a key member of our team, partnering directly with client teams as they design, develop, implement and maintain robotics systems, strategies, initiatives, and services to support our operations and fulfillment network. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a variety of third-party contractual relationships, including products and services agreements, software licensing agreements, work orders, amendments, and NDAs. You will provide day-to-day advice to business clients on transactions, processes, systems, and internal and external communications, and we will look to you for exciting and revolutionary ideas to improve our processes and client services.

The successful candidate will possess the ability to complete high volumes of complex tasks and projects quickly with autonomy; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick responses; support multiple internal clients; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also be customer-obsessed, have great attention to detail while meeting deadlines, great organizational skills and the ability to switch gears/topics at short notice. A high level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and professionalism in dealing with senior professionals inside and outside the company is essential.

Key Job Responsibilities

This person’s responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements, outside counsel management, business training on legal tools, and other tasks needed to support the business and legal teams.

The candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and a high attention to detail as this position involves direct contact with clients and counterparties. The successful candidate must be inquisitive, enthusiastic about technology, enjoy working hard and being continually challenged.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 5+ years of contracts management experience, including leading contract negotiations and drafting/revising contracts within a law firm or legal department
  2. Experience reviewing, drafting and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts, including intellectual property terms
  3. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects at once and work independently
  4. Ability to invent, simplify, and improve legal and contracting processes
  5. Strong analytical and computer skills
  6. In-house experience is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $68,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $146,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
