Construction Quality Supervisor / Superintendent
This role provides guidance and oversight of all site installation projects across the associated branch locations. This includes review of layouts, permitting, code compliance, guidance on installation techniques, quality control, etc.
The Supervisor/Superintendent role will interact directly with installation and service technicians and support staff to provide information and guidance as needed. In addition, the Supervisor will be involved with product development and qualification activities through the Innovation Team.
The role requires proper qualification and maintenance of a General Contractor license for commercial and residential properties in the state of Florida. VERSION 6/24
Responsibilities
• Review site drawings and layouts for efficient installation of products
• Work with outside Professional Engineer Firms on projects as needed
• Oversee subcontractors, vendors, and on-site personnel to ensure performance and compliance
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, safety, and quality
• Collaborate with branch managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
• Ensure all work meets applicable codes, regulations, and customer specifications • Interact with property owners on site to
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly project reports
• Identify and mitigate project risks and delays
• Promote and enforce safety policies and procedures at all job sites to perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function.
Required Skills
• Proven experience managing commercial or residential construction projects
• Strong Knowledge of construction process, building codes, safety standards and contracts
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Aptitude for teaching / training and leading by example
• Valid driver's License and ability to travel to job sites
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications :
• 5+ years of experience in construction / project management
• Shutter or replacement window experience a plus
• General Contractor for commercial and residential licenses in the state of Florida
