The Conflicts Research Analyst processes conflict of interest searches timely and accurately, following very detailed search rules, process documentation and instructions from Intake Analysts.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

  • Searches internal and external databases, as well as Internet sources, for information on companies and individuals for business intake purposes
  • Completes daily search assignments on time, producing high quality conflict reports using state of the art technology tools
  • Handles highly sensitive and confidential search requests
  • Participates in ongoing training on business intake applications, rules and processes as required
  • Responds to inquiries from conflicts lawyers and requesting lawyers about conflict searches, and perform additional research as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives

Qualifications

Education/Training/Certifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of one year of applicable research experience, required
  • Previous law firm conflicts research experience, preferred

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, required
  • Online research experience required, company research experience, preferred

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
  • Ability to work in a diverse team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities
  • Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
  • Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion
  • Exercises solid strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

The typical pay scale for this position is between $67,900 and $89,800, although the actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidates education, experience, skills and internal pay alignment are different from those specified.
